The clearer the photo, the better the starting point for your diamond painting. A few simple choices can make a difference.

Zoom in before choosing. Faces, eyes and other important features should look clear rather than blurry.

Choose a photo with bright, even lighting so faces and colors are easy to see. Deep shadows can hide details.

Match the shape, too.Choose a canvas shape that suits your photo's proportions. A rectangular photo may need cropping to fit a square canvas. Check the exact dimensions in the product options.

Photo quality and canvas size matter for detail with either shape. Diamond pieces are also called drills.

Can I use a photo of my pet or family?
Yes. Portraits, pets, family photos and meaningful places can all become custom diamond paintings. Choose a sharp image with clearly visible subjects, and allow more canvas space for multiple faces or fine details.
Do I receive a finished picture or a DIY kit?
You receive a personalized DIY diamond painting kit to complete yourself. Your photo is the basis for the printed symbol canvas, and the coordinating diamonds and tools are included.
Will the finished picture look exactly like my photo?
Your photo is recreated as a mosaic of colored diamonds. Fine details and colors can look different from a screen or photo print. A clear original photo and a larger canvas generally give detailed features more room.
Could my photo need cropping?
If your photo and selected canvas have different proportions, cropping may be needed. Pick a canvas shape that is close to your photo's shape and keep important features away from the very edges.
Is it suitable for a beginner?
Yes. Match each diamond color to the symbol guide, add wax to the applicator tip, and place the diamonds on the matching canvas symbols. Peel back only a small section of protective film at a time and cover unfinished areas when you pause.
Is a frame included?
Wooden stretcher bars are included only with the DIY Wood Frame option. You assemble the bars and mount the canvas at home. The Without Frame option does not include these bars, and decorative display frames are not included.

A very beautiful picture of my daughter's cats. Many of the little diamonds were broken. Unfortunately, about three-quarters of the way through, I found I was far short of the light brown diamonds and had to switch to dark brown. There were four different purple colors that I had to leave out. But I would buy it again.
